About Kammy:

  Kammy Yedor is a guitarist, vocalist, and composer from Seattle, Washington. She has performed as a side-person and bandleader since high school. She cites Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Grant Green, George Benson, Jim Hall, Sarah Vaughan, Billie Holiday, Nancy Wilson, Stevie Wonder, and Whitney Houston as her musical influences. She is an alumna of Seattle’s Roosevelt High School Jazz program, the Seattle JazzEd program, and Berklee Global Jazz Institute’s Newport Workshop. From 2017-2021, she attended Michigan State University where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies. 

         She studied with Milo Petersen, Clarence Acox, Scott Brown, Danilo Perez, Terri Lynne Carrington, Ben Street, and Michigan State University’s Professors of Jazz. While at Roosevelt High School and Michigan State University, she had the opportunity to perform with Michael Phillip Mossman, Harvey Mason, Steve Wilson, Andrew Speight, Mimi Jones, Jim Alfredson, Jay Thomas, D’Vonne Lewis, the Seattle Women’s Jazz Orchestra, Dawn Clement, Tanya Darby, and Kenny Washington. Additionally, she had the opportunity to work with prominent figures in Detroit, Michigan such as Marion Hayden. 

        She currently resides and performs, both in-person and virtually, in New York City. She is currently in the process of creating her debut EP which will be out in August of 2022.
